Анотація


Concrete filled circular steel tubular elements are well known inconstruction. A metal tube replacing a bar reinforcement acts as both the longitudinal andlateral reinforcement taking stresses in all directions and at any angle. The tube lateralpressure resists the rapid propogation of fracture micro cracks in the concrete core whichwithstands the stresses considerably exceeding the prism strenght under the conditions ofall - round limited compression. At the same time a concrete filled steel tube appears to agreat extent both local and total stability losses
